Ted Barraclough grew up on a cattle property in Claremont in western Queensland. In the early 50's he moved to Brisbane to study at the Brisbane Teachers College where he was a fellow student of William Robinson and a student of Merv Muhling. Barraclough continued his study in literature which led to post graduate studies in the United States and a career in education.Now residing on the Sunshine Coast, Ted has always been an avid bird-watcher and wood carver and he has now melded the two by carving and painting Australian birds.Ted happily accepts commissions.
